Sneaker Memories: Unforgettable and Powerful

Sneakers bring about endless emotions and feelings. The most serious sneaker enthusiasts know how memories are attached to certain sneakers. Some sneakers bring unforgettable memories that will be a positive part of our lives forever.

Memories bring a rush of emotions and feelings. In regards to sneakers, someone may feel confident and rejuvenated when they think of their first pair of Jordans. Others feel optimistic after buying a pair in celebration of a significant life event. Whatever the case may be, sneakers have memories attached to them and bring positive feelings to countless people around the world.

Creating Sneaker Memories

Like most memories, the best are created organically. Something forced doesn’t feel the same as something that comes naturally. Genuine experiences are unmatched and often priceless. Anyone can have an experience but to truly be in the moment makes the memory ten times better in foresight.

From personal experience, the best sneaker memories come randomly and typically unexpectedly. For example, I received an invoice for the Nike Off-White Blazer ‘Grim Reaper’ when I was riding the bus back to campus a few years ago. Getting that simple yet powerful email made my day instantly.

Some other notable memories regarding sneakers are when I waited for my first pair of Yeezys and waiting all night for the Travis Scott Jordan 4s. Before sneaker stores ended most first come first serve releases, sneaker enthusiasts around the U.S. became quite familiar with their local sneaker shops. Release days saw countless regulars; some hyped releases brought numerous out-of-towners.

The best sneaker memories are rarely manufactured. Instead they come genuinely and naturally. Any worthwhile memory should not feel forced, faked, or fraudulent.

Diversity and Variations

Everyone has a different taste in every aspect of life. In terms of sneakers, countless people have their own unique styles and preferences. These differences bring different sneaker memories as well.

One person might remember a particular New Balance release to go exceptionally well and another views the same release as terribly executed in all aspects.

Some sneakerheads flock to Jordans and the nostalgia behind the classics while others look for new age technology in their kicks.

Buying a retro pair of sneakers compared to a brand new, never before seen model are two completely different experiences.

Two people can experience the same event and have widely varying memories from the same exact moment in life. Sneakers are extremely subjective, so there will always be a great variation between the sneaker memories of countless sneakers enthusiasts all around the world.

Creative Sneaker Memories: Memorable Moments

Sneaker memories don’t always have to be about buying a new pair. Memories often come from stories about a particular pair. Camping out on release days, getting raffle wins, coming across a steal price unexpectedly, or visiting a unique sneaker boutique are all perfect examples of sneaker memories outside of directly purchasing a new pair of sneakers.

Distraction-free interactions and experiences typically produce some of the best memories of our lives. We don’t remember that shock drop we saw while texting on our phone as well as going to a sneaker store with no distractions or limits.

Anyone can create a memory right now. However, to live through something worthwhile, impactful, and unforgettable only comes when an individual is truly living in the moment.

The most memorable moments come when we least expect them. Some surprise us in the best way possible. Living in the moment with a clear head allows us to look back and fully appreciate the positive experience.

Sneaker Sensations

Until you get your first pair of kicks that were love at first sight, it’s virtually impossible to understand the power of that new sneaker feeling. You walk different when you have some fresh pairs in your wardrobe.

Nothing can replicate the feeling of opening a fresh shoe box containing some highly anticipated sneakers. Sneaker appreciation goes far beyond the physical. Stories behind sneakers and brand purpose must be factored into the appreciation of some fresh kicks.

As more sneakers are produced, more sneaker memories are sure to come soon after. Enthusiasts all over appreciate sneakers because the love for sneakers is adaptable and always fresh. Sneakers will continue to bring millions of people around the world together for the foreseeable future.

Creative Efforts: Capabilities and Limitations

Humans are creative beings. Most people limit themselves in countless ways. They may say “I’m not artistic” or “I’m not very creative.” However, everyone has creative powers that can be tapped into with dedicated time and effort. The world around us exudes creativity; an open mind will find time and energy for important creative efforts even in the most unconventional outlets.

Muses are all around. Something as simple as taking a walk around the block can inspire one person but make another even more bored or uninspired. Creative influence is obviously subjective, however most individuals are too busy looking for something extraordinary. Creativity is all around especially in the realities of day-to-day life.

School and Creativity

Traditional schooling often diminishes creativity for numerous reasons. First, the American public school system overemphasizes the importance of traditional education. Unconventional styles of learning are usually discovered by students who feel unsatisfied with their often outdated curriculum.

Also, the public school system doesn’t place much importance on art, music, and other creative endeavors. Anything that can be considered creative and nontraditional is typically viewed as ‘extracurricular.’ Schools all across America continuously cut art, music, and theater programs year in and year out. Students are told what’s important and what’s not based on which departments receive the most (and least) funding.

Lastly, the American school system doesn’t tend to highlight the most creative students. The students who usually receive the most school wide and public recognition are those who obtain the school/district’s top grade point averages (GPA). An individual who has a high GPA might be able to think well analytically but might not have much experience or exposure to creative endeavors.

The American public school system must place more emphasis on untraditional teaching/learning methods, place more importance towards the arts, and recognize more creative students. When changes are made in favor of creative learning, then America will see more free-flowing creativity in society. Less people will place limits on themselves because they will already know what they are capable of.

Creative Efforts in Adult Life

The average American adult doesn’t think of themselves as creative. Wake up, go to work, spend time with family, eat, and sleep. This routine doesn’t seem very creative at all to many. However, people often devalue the importance of things they spend time on when they aren’t working, eating, or sleeping. Every (normal) adult has at least one hobby. Most hobbies require some level of creativity. Working out can be creative depending on how it’s viewed. At the same time, reading can be considered one of many creative efforts in an adult’s daily routine.

Creative efforts in adult life usually take a backseat to other priorities. Most adults say to themselves “only if I had the time.” Countless people go their whole lives telling themselves this same lie. We all have the same twenty four hours per day. There will always be time for what we want to do. Time is real but is also an illusion. People make time for what they want. No excuses.

Young adults are often so caught up with working that they forget to make time for themselves. Creativity will not be an active part of someone’s life unless they actively look to do something creative. An active effort must be made willingly and routinely.

Numerous adults around the world wake up everyday wishing they could spend their time differently. Sure, everyone won’t always have their dream job. However, even before/after work, there will always be time when time is made for important creative efforts. Some individuals neglect any sort of creativity all together; the people who actively look to become better as creative beings consciously put in the required time and energy.

Creativity and Nature

The physical world around us displays countless forms of creativity. The roots on a tree, clouds in the sky, animals moving throughout the forest, and leaves rustling on a cool day all are part of Earth’s creative powers. Nature is often seen as one of the most influential muses for countless creatives all around the world. What better place to look for inspiration than the natural world in our own backyards?

Nature often provides an essential influence towards countless creative efforts throughout the world. The natural world is free-flowing and typically undisturbed by external forces. Humans can look to nature to understand more about creativity and life as a whole.

Natural influence brings about more natural and adaptable thoughts, ideas, and creations. Anyone can be in nature but few take the time to appreciate the beauty of the world around us.

Creative Efforts: A Dawn of the Unknown

Any type of creative work starts from one common place. That place usually doesn’t have a name, direction, or clear sense of purpose. Influences along the way help artists, creatives, and designers around the world understand more about what they are trying to accomplish and/or work towards.

Anyone can start something creatively, but everyone doesn’t finish or even come close to finishing a project or creative effort. Creativity is all about exploring the unknown to get to a point that feels more comfortable, understandable, or better explained than before.

Nike Dunks: History and New Life

Nike Dunks have always been classics to countless people across the world. Many today still remember when the original pairs released. Now, collaborations and retros are hot on the shelves in shops globally. Dunks have been consistent and reliable since their inception in 1985.

Retros will always be compared to originals. Not just in sneakers, but clothing, cars, and movies as well.

The debates will never go extinct. Classics will always compete with hot collabs in the sneaker world today.

Nike Dunks: An Origin Story

The first Nike Dunk High came out in 1985, as a basketball sneaker. The model took a combination of a few Nike shoes such as the Air Force One, the Air Jordan 1, the Terminator, and the Legend. Air Forces heavily inspired the overall look of Dunks; both have the same outsole and traction.

The year 1985 was monumental for sneakers. The first ever Jordans being released basically set up Nike and Jordan Brand for the foreseeable future. Nike began to capitalize off of Jordan and started to design instant classics outside of the fresh basketball subsidiary.

Originally, Dunks came out in “school” colors from different renowned universities and colleges across the country. Nike launched their “Be True to Your School” campaign in collaboration with numerous universities who recently signed deals. Teams from the University of Iowa, University of Kentucky, University of Michigan, Georgetown University, St. John’s University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and Syracuse University all got their own version of the Dunk in their respective school colors.

The Dunk High grew organically in the basketball world, but was quickly overshadowed by the Air Jordan 1 and other basketball sneakers with more advanced technology. As the original Nike Dunk High faded from the limelight in the basketball realm, the silhouette became more appealing to the casual market. Shortly after, Dunks shifted into the skate culture in the 1990s.

Dunks and New Beginnings

Nike Dunks weren’t originally made for skating. Nike was still new to the skate world and didn’t focus many of its products towards skateboarders. However, the sneaker and apparel giant found itself making its way into a niche they knew virtually nothing about. The Dunk underwent significant changes in the 90s including a nylon tongue for lighter weight, a thicker swoosh, and a shorter shaft.

Nike was trying to force its way into the skate world. Things didn’t go smoothly from the jump for the Oregon-based corporation. Skateboarders collectively felt as if Nike was just another huge corporation trying to enter their world. The skating community was and still is extremely protective of itself and didn’t want any company, including Nike, to walk over them.

Commercial success and market ownership both motivated Nike. After numerous failed attempts of creating new skate shoes such as the The Choad, the Snack, and the Schimp, Nike found themselves back at the drawing board.

Many skaters essentially repurposed Dunks. Nike never envisioned the model to appeal to anyone outside of the basketball world. However, they shifted gears with a few bumps in the road before things started running smoothly.

The Rise of Nike SBs

The early 1990s saw Dunks sitting on shelves at ridiculous discounts. Skaters flocked to the model because they were cheap and readily available. As skating become more popular, Nike knew they had to do something to capitalize off of the rise of the skate market. In the late 90s, the Dunk High was revamped and released in original and new colorways.

When Sandy Bodecker was appointed as the general manager of Nike SB, the silhouette made a name for itself in 2001. Before Bodecker joined Nike, the Dunk Low Pro B and Dunk Low CO.JP (Nike Japan) were popping up in Japan and on the West Coast. The Pro B was the first Dunk to utilize the ‘fat’ tongue that is easily recognizable today.

Sandy Bodecker saw the Pro B as an opportunity to expand further in the skate market. After showing a sample Pro B to skate shop owners, Nike was on a trail to creating SB Dunks that would be exclusively sold in the same stores. Nike found an essential step in the process to tap into the culture organically and efficiently.

Nike Dunks: 2000s, 2010s, and Today

The Dunk has seen countless transformations and shifts throughout its existence. Some Nike has planned for, while others came up unexpectedly. The Nike SB subdivision was officially launched in 2002. Nike found a way to revitalize the Dunk and cater towards the needs of skaters all over the world. Later, in 2006, Nike rolled out the Dunk Mid Pro which was a big deal since it was the first time the Dunk saw a new form besides low or hightop versions.

The early 2000s also introduced collaborations to Dunks which were nowhere near as common as they are today. A few notable early Nike SB Dunk collabs included Supreme, Levi’s, Stüssy, Jeff Staple, Diamond Supply, and Concepts. Many of these releases helped kickstart the sneaker resale market and the days of camping out for sneakers.

As Dunks continued in the 2010s, they started to lose some hype. Countless SB Dunks became staples at Nike outlets and numerous pairs would quickly go on sale at other retailers. In the middle of the decade, both Nike Dunks and SB pairs started to gain more traction in the sneaker world.

Nike Dunks: Travis Scott

In 2020, Travis Scott teamed up with Nike to create one of the most recognizable SB Dunk Lows in recent history.

Along with Nike x Off-White Dunk Lows, there has not been a shortage of collabs over the past few years. Original colorways and new releases continue to draw the attention of countless enthusiasts. Although Dunks aren’t at their peak, they are still one of Nike’s most recognizable and sought after models.

Streetwear Brands: Identity and Trust

Streetwear brands all over the world appeal to countless different niches within the subculture. A certified brand will not try to cater to everyone’s needs. The Hundreds knows their audience well just like Supreme and Stüssy know their own. A well-run streetwear label embraces their differences and what sets them apart from their competition.

Timeless labels stick around for various reasons. First, they respect those who came before them. Anyone who is new to something must learn from or simply appreciate the greatness of the top of that specific field. Also, streetwear labels achieve a sense of longevity once they have a clear purpose and focused audience/target customers. Nobody can build something substantial without a clear sense of direction. Lastly, brands who make it in the long run never stay complacent. The best of the best are always looking towards what’s next and what’s to follow. Greatness takes no days off.

Honor the Gift

One of the most popular recent streetwear brands, Honor the Gift has made a name for itself since coming onto the scene in 2017. Founded by NBA star Russell Westbrook, the label is heavily influenced by Los Angeles street culture and the inner city. Westbrook has created his own path to separate his style from others.

Streetwear brands: Honor the Gift

By using his personal style to form his own streetwear brand, the California native is already well ahead of the game. Westbrook has been able to translate his personal knowledge about the fashion world and transform a new brand into a force to be reckon with.

Honor the Gift continues to put out quality pieces that are high quality yet still affordable compared to many other streetwear brands. Some brands only appeal to a select few, but Honor the Gift knows its audience well enough to cater to numerous streetwear enthusiasts.

Kith

A New York classic label is sure to have heavy influence on the streetwear world. Anyone who keeps up with streetwear knows how influential Ronnie Fieg’s touch has been over the past decade. He started the label to bring streetwear and high-end fashion together in an effortless manner. With tons of collaborations already in the books, Kith will continue to look to work with powerhouses like Adidas, Nike, Mitchell & Ness, Levi’s, Columbia, Coca-Cola, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Kith’s collabs instantly set themselves apart from other streetwear labels. Streetwear brands are abundant in the twenty-first century; labels who separate from the pack often make it much longer than those who look to follow the status quo. By working with extremely credible brands, Fieg has been able to boost Kith’s credibility in return. A trustworthy brand like Coca-Cola wouldn’t work with a streetwear company if the said brand could potentially harm the beverage giant’s social image.

Undefeated

California and streetwear go hand in hand. Undefeated was founded in Los Angeles in 2002. Since then, the label has made a remarkable name for themselves in the streetwear world. Countless enthusiasts can appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of clothing produced by Undefeated. Many streetwear brands look to put out clothing at a fast pace which often sees the quality of the garments suffer. The California-based streetwear brand prides itself on releasing quality clothing that will last for years to come.

The collaborations at Undefeated have been worthwhile and eye-catching since the brand’s inception in the early 2000s. Sneakers with Nike, Jordan Brand, Puma, Adidas, and Reebok all headline some of Undefeated’s most notable collabs. Again, proof of a trustworthy brand can be found by looking at the labels they have worked with in the past. A solid collaboration record with global organizations often indicates the longevity and well-regarded reputation of a particular streetwear brand.

Streetwear Brands Leaving a Lasting Impact

Many streetwear brands find themselves all over the place. The power of one of well-known streetwear brands like Honor the Gift, Kith, and Undefeated comes from having a strong identity and never changing key values and ideals for anyone or any company.

The products do not solely represent a particular streetwear label. Quality is all around when you know the right places to look. What separates brands from one another is an unbreakable identity, a clear purpose, and distinct target audiences/customers. Without these three key concepts, a clothing brand is heading down an unexpected path.

Nobody or no organization can prepare for everything that will happen in the future. However, many can still have ideas of what they want to do and create executable plans to focus on what they control directly. Streetwear is forever evolving. A powerful streetwear brand must be adaptable and open to every type of change imaginable.

Sneakers and Consumerism: Complex Affairs

Sneakers and consumerism bring about endless complexities. Both are complicated independently. However, when the two are tied together, they bring even more complex issues. Purchasing sneakers is nowhere near as simple as it used to be in the recent and distant past.

Sneaker Buying Habits

Many sneaker enthusiasts often reminisce about the days of being able to pull up to their local sneaker store on a release day and buying a pair in their size with ease. Now, tons of footwork and online work is necessary just to have a chance of buying the wanted sneakers. The online world has taken over the sneaker community. It has become rare to see retailers advertise first-come-first-serve releases. At the end of the day, many businesses don’t want to deal with the headaches of people acting a fool waiting hours in line and potentially causing commotion to the local community.

Footwear are usually considered a basic necessity of life in most countries around the world. In Western culture, virtually everyone has a pair of sneakers even if they don’t consider themselves a “sneakerhead.” The sneaker market has seen exponential growth over the past five or so years.

Ultimately, countless retailers and boutiques have drastically altered their releases to deal with less hassle and drama. Many brands don’t seem to care who gets their hands on pairs. As long as they can clear out stock efficiently, something must be working.

Online shopping has taken over the sneaker world with no signs of slowing down.

Mass Consumerism

People all over the United States buy goods just to buy them. A new table needs a new book which needs a new bookshelf which needs a new lamp. Many stores are physically set up to get customers to buy more than they originally expected. Someone can go into a store with a list of three items and come out with well over ten due to unintentional buying habits.

Social media often emphasizes that “more is better.” However, having more sneakers isn’t always the answer due to countless reasons. First, you can only wear one pair at a time. Buying more shoes brings along more maintenance, storage, and time needed to decide which pair to wear. Also, buying more sneakers isn’t always the most financially sound decision.

Sneakers and consumerism- hyped sneakers

The concept of delayed gratification comes with being financially responsible. Sometimes you have to put off a new sneaker purchase due to more important matters (rent/mortgage, bills, repairs, food, etc.)

Another important reason why buying more sneakers aren’t always a smart decision is because of the fact that many sneaker enthusiasts get caught up and buy pairs with no objective in mind. “Mindless purchases” have become a major issue in the sneaker world. Peer pressure and feeling the need to “keep up” will have someone buy sneakers they don’t really want or need.

Sneakers and Consumerism: Looking to the Future

Mass consumerism is no stranger to the sneaker world as well. Sneaker enthusiasts are often looking for their next purchase before they even make a purchase now. Brands push out endless pairs of sneakers for customers to buy and quickly get bored of. After one release, countless consumers are looking to the next with no signs of looking back.

The majority of sneaker buying will be done mostly online for the foreseeable future. Every now and then retailers will do in-person raffles or first-come-first-serve releases, but online releases will continue to the the frontrunner.

Consumers all around the sneaker world seek to keep up with news and trends on a daily basis. The sneaker community is extremely trend-driven and looks to bring back countless of the same customers on a continuous basis.

Sneakers and consumerism will have a complex relationship. The point of being a sneaker enthusiast is to buy sneakers you like. However, mass consumerism and even over-consumerism slowly creep up on countless individuals. The sneaker world will undergo changes that will pave the way for the role of consumerism in the near and distant future.

Creating the Life You Want

Nobody can make the change for you. Nobody will hold your hand forever. At the end of the day, nobody can live your life for you. Creating the life you want is all about self-determination and having some sort of ambition.

Life is confusing to say the least. Many people go through life lying to themselves to please others or doing what “they are supposed to do.” Too many humans live a miserable life because they are too afraid to chase their true goals and dreams. One life is plenty of time to do what you want to do.

Me Time

Sometimes you have to be selfish in life. Being unselfish goes a long way in many regards, but can be a hinderance in certain situations. Acting in one’s best interest isn’t always being selfish. However, many people will call out others who place themselves first.

Creating the life you want: Atlanta tings

Time for yourself isn’t being overly selfish. If someone goes around constantly looking to please others, they will never be pleased themselves. People pleasers continually lie to themselves.

Choosing time for yourself doesn’t mean you have to neglect other priorities and wants. “Me time” can be anything from reading a book on a quiet night or watching a movie by yourself. Whatever it may be, there must be time for oneself to be comfortable on their own.

Go Getter

A real go getter is someone who looks to get shit done regardless of the circumstances. Anyone can say they are hustling, but actions will always speak louder than words. Results show who actually puts in work and who says they do that so called work.

Individual work is key to any type of long-lasting success. A go getter is an individual who is creating the life they want on a daily basis. They know results will not come overnight, but instead over many nights.

Nobody is born with determination or resilience-you have to want something enough to do whatever it takes under numerous circumstances.

Creating the life you desire is about putting mind over matter. Your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy; only you can decide how it will affect your life.

Creating the Life You Want: Stay in Your Lane

Everyone in the world is unique for countless reasons. Why fit in with the pack when you can create your own path?

Individualism is currently at its peak. The creative world appreciates distinctive styles now more than ever. Anyone creating something worthwhile should learn from the best but never copy them directly. Too many “designers” jack ideas from one another and add their own spin. Where’s the real creativity in that?

The path less traveled is definitely more lonely and uncertain but nobody can ever take that journey away from you. Creating something of your own creates a unique feeling that can never be replicated. Originality will never go out of style.

Life is a journey. Everyone’s looks different for countless reasons. Enjoy the ride and be present.

Stay in your own lane and don’t look back.

Creativity: The Individual Power of the Mind

Creativity cannot be bought nor captured or held on to forever. It comes and goes like the seasons in a calendar year. Nobody can ever seem to hang on to it for their entire life. Creative moments come in flashes and require high attention to detail in order to translate them into something worthwhile.

Everyone can be creative. However, limited individuals seem to exert creative energy on a regular basis. Some may keep it around longer than others. Creativity is something that should never be taken for granted in life.

Mind Games

The human mind is more powerful than most would think. Most people don’t tap into their full potential and put themselves down. We constantly hear “I’m not creative” or “I’m not artistic” or “Creativity doesn’t come naturally to me.” Instead, these phrases should all include one key word to put a positive connotation on them. By adding the word yet, the potential to be more creative is virtually endless.

When someone says they aren’t creative yet, they actively acknowledge their room for growth. Someone who limits themselves through their words will rarely reach their full potential. The mind can play many games, even on itself.

Creativity- Atlanta

Creative endeavors don’t have to be limited to traditional art. Someone may be creative through sports or business- two realms that are not typically viewed as “creative.” However, creativity is all around us when we stop trying to force things and start to look outside the box.

Humans are often more capable of achieving amazing feats than they originally think. The mind can play games on itself. The first step to limiting the power of these mind games is to first acknowledge they are present. The mind can only work in an individual’s favor when a person is actively aware of their mental capabilities.

Creativity and Individualism

Individualism is actively stressed in Western cultures. Obviously there are benefits and drawbacks that can be viewed closely and from afar.

Creative abilities are usually tied to one person. However, creativity is not confined to an individual. Certain cultures stress the importance of individualism in order to tap into one’s creative endeavors. American culture definitely emphasizes the ability to think creatively on one’s own.

Creativity- Olympics

While there are obvious drawbacks to individualism like social isolation and a decreased sense of belonging, there are numerous advantages especially for creative purposes.

An individual has the freedom to think creatively and outside of the box when working by themselves. They don’t have to directly report to anyone else or follow strict guidelines. Individualism allows humans to express themselves freely and openly. Creativity relies on a certain extent of freedom; creatives who embrace their individualism often find their unique lane efficiently and in a healthy way.

Feeling rushed in anything will usually not provide satisfactory results. Individualistic creative efforts allow people to work at their own pace and level of comfort. Individualism gives a sense of freedom and stresses the importance of self-determination and self-reliance.

While everyone has their own skill sets and unique talents, healthy levels of individual work allow creatives to tap into what they do best.

The Journey of Creativity

Being creative isn’t an accomplishment but rather a life long journey. Any world-renowned artist will say have a creative mind isn’t enough to be successful. It’s what people do with their creativity that sets them apart from the pack.

One can argue that creativity is a muscle that needs to be used on a consistent basis. Like shooting a basketball, creativity has to be used regularly to upkeep its potential. Just a few days or a week off will often set someone back more than they would ever realize.

The journey of creativity is virtually never ending. Many creatives don’t feel completely satisfied with their work; they continually look toward what’s to come next.

There is a fine line between expressing dissatisfaction and not being complacent. Creatives want to reach their full potential at every possible moment. However, everyday won’t be productive or successful in every aspect. Creativity has no end goal- it’s a never ending process that doesn’t befriend perfectionists.

New Sneaker Sensation

Very few feelings in the world come close to trying on a new pair of sneakers for the first time. When a long-awaited pair finally comes in, the excitement is at its peak. That new shoe smell is unmatched. That new sneaker sensation is untouchable.

Everyone doesn’t get the hype of sneakers, but almost everyone can appreciate a fresh pair of shoes that makes walking around a little more enjoyable.

New Sneaker Rotation

Sneaker enthusiasts all around the world typically pride themselves on having some sort of rotation. They can vary depending on the season and functionality; rotations allow for a new sneaker to be broken in gradually. Some like to beat up their pairs as soon as possible. At the end of the day, sneaker wearing habits are all personal preference.

Sneaker rotations literally come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They allow for individualization and a healthy way to express oneself creatively.

Rotations are good for sneakers too. Wearing the same pair day in and day out doesn’t leave much possibility for longevity, even if the wearer takes care of them effortlessly. Sneaker rotations give sneakers a break before the next wear. Do you think sneakerheads with hundreds of pairs wear the same sneakers everyday?

Someone doesn’t have to own a huge collection to start a trustworthy rotation. Rotations can be created with as little as two or three pairs up to a week’s worth of sneakers and in some cases even more. A new sneaker often gets inserted into a pre-existing rotation rather effortlessly. People want to look fresh and feel good while taking care of their sneakers.

Versatility: Options and Functionality

Sneakers come in almost every shape and size imaginable. The present state of the sneaker world is ever-changing. New models, silhouettes, colorways, and sneaker brands are coming out on a regular basis. Anyone can switch up their collection and give themselves more options almost instantly.

Versatility is key to any solid rotation. One pair of sneakers cannot function effectively for every purpose and situation. Rotations should include shoes of all sorts- comfortable, fashionable, durable, and eye-catching sneakers are essential for a respectable rotation. You cannot go wrong with a pair of black and white kicks that pair well with countless fits.

New sneakers that serve multiple purposes often make their way into more rotations than shoes with limited capabilities. You cannot go wrong with a pair of black and white kicks that pair well with countless fits.

The key to having options is creating a rotation full of new and old sneakers. A rotation must be versatile and efficient for multiple situations, not just the sneakers themselves.

New Sneaker Sensation: Bringing Out the Heat

Everyone who loves new sneakers can appreciate certain pairs more than others. People have their own unique taste and style- some pairs stand out more than others for numerous reasons.

At the end of the day, the journey to obtain the more exclusive pairs is often not as simple as picking up a general release.

A new sneaker can make someone feel better about themselves almost instantly. The saying “if you look good, you feel good” will stick around for countless years to come. Ultimately, nothing can replicate the feeling of unboxing a new pair of fresh kicks. Countless sneakerheads still seek that feeling they got when they first got into sneakers.

Figuring Out Life

Does anybody ever have life figured out? How do people act like they have everything figured out when they clearly don’t? It’s okay to still be figuring out life no matter how young or old you are.

One of the most humbling facts of life is that everyone doesn’t really know what the hell they are doing on Earth. Some may find purpose in life or have some things figured out, but nobody ever has everything figured out. The journey of life is all about figuring out life along the way and appreciating the worthwhile experiences and people who come into our lives.

Figuring Out Complex Relationships

Humans are complex beings, so why do we expect our interactions and experiences with one another to be simple?

The human brain is too powerful to allow its body to live simply. Emotions, feelings, and thoughts all add to the complexities of daily life. When you add in other people, things are bound to get complicated and messy.

Even relationship experts don’t have perfect relationships. Why should we beat ourselves up over a failed friendship or romantic relationship?

We are learning along the way; so is everyone we meet in life. People unintentionally hurt others. Sometimes we hurt people without even realizing until a later time in our lives.

Everyone comes into our life for a reason. Their duration of making an impact on our lives is undetermined. Most don’t stick around for very long at all. Some stay around for seasons. Others, who mean the most, are around for generations.

Instead of looking at failed friendships and relationships, we can view them as lessons that had to occur. The hate towards that ex will get you nowhere in life. Neither will that grudge with your ex-best friend. Forgive yourself and move on. New people are coming into your life, usually when you least expect it. Appreciate the genuine ones in your life, but always be prepared to meet more people no matter the current circumstances.

Friends, Family, and a Sense of Belonging

As social beings, humans aren’t meant to be socially isolated. While some people thrive in the presence of others and high levels of stimulations, others prefer less stimulation and are often more comfortable on their own.

Figuring out life is all about figuring out who we are as a person and to find some sort of sense of belonging in this world. Friends and family can help figure things out, but they cannot do any of the uncomfortable work for us.

Some friends are part of family. At the same time, some family members are distant strangers who have little to no immediate impact on our lives. Blood never has and never will make someone family. If someone says, “but they are family,” they are often part of the problem at hand. Family doesn’t intentionally hurt the people they care about.

Friends can either bring us a lot of satisfaction and fulfillment in life or leave us scratching our heads asking who is really a friend and who is jumping along for a short ride?

People who fade away from each other easily probably didn’t have a strong friendship in the first place. Many people associate with others who have similar interests and hobbies. However, the best of friends often have many differences but still put them aside and hold each other accountable.

“Yes men” bring their “friends” down in the long run. Everybody wants to hear exactly what they want; very few are okay with having friends who call them out for their wrongs and hold them accountable.

A sense of belonging will never come from another person. We have to find the balance between being with others and enjoying our own company. The people who are around today might not be around in a few years or a decade from now.

Figuring Out Life: Work and Sense of Purpose

In American culture, countless identities are tied to work and what is directly produced. People have lives outside of work, but often introduce themselves to others by first stating what they do for work. Nobody would have much of a personality if they didn’t have interests, hobbies, and passion outside of work.

A job will never define someone’s purpose in life. However, many Americans tie their work to their identity and are left clueless when they leave their current or “dream” job.

Figuring out one’s sense of purpose is one of the hardest parts of “figuring out life.”

Work can have a positive or negative connotation depending on how an individual views the subject. Work can be meaningful and fulfilling, but it should never consume someone and be their life. Instead, it is a part of life that can easily change with the blink of an eye.

Sense of purpose relates to what a person can do for the world and how they do it, not what they produce as a result of their work.

Enjoy the Journey

At the end of the day, nobody truly has everything all figured out. You probably won’t have it all figured out in a decade or two from now. Even when life comes to an end, most people would agree they never had everything all together.

Figuring out life is about enjoying the journey that comes with the countless ups and downs. Waiting for the perfect situation will leave you waiting your whole life. Start doing what you want to now and don’t look back.

Life will get figured out along the way. Live in the moment and live without regret.

Recent and Upcoming Sneaker Releases

This year has been rather slow for sneaker releases compared to the past few years. There have been some notable hits, but they appear to be more spread out and more selective than previous years.

Although sneakers are subjective, many sneaker enthusiasts know a hot release when they see one. All types of footwear has loyal fans; sneakers are no different and often have obsessed collectors who constantly stalk the release calendars.

These will be bangers. Real ones will forever appreciate icy blues on a fresh pair of Js. Everyone talks about the leather “quality” on Air Jordans particularly Jordan 1s; all Jordan quality is nowhere near great. Stop complaining about the quality of materials on leather basketball shoes. They are meant to be appreciated as they are, not as designer or high end sneakers.

This pair combines classic colors and a classic model. Not much has to be said about the levels of anticipation for this edition of the Air Jordan 1.

Adidas Yeezy August 2023 Releases

There’s definitely no shortage of news and headlines involving Kanye West. Only a select number of people can be “cancelled” and come back to stay relevant and virtually hold up the sales of a major footwear and clothing brand. Adidas was known to be taking a potential loss if they completely cut ties with West.

Yeezy Boost 350 v2s, 350 CMPCT v2s, 450s, 700s, Yeezy Slides and Foam Runners will be releasing in August. Kanye’s influence will forever impact Adidas and how they do business. The Chicago-born rapper has given Adidas more time to figure out what they will do post-Ye.

Yeezys still draw tons of attention particularly amongst younger crowds. New colorways are constantly being released and classics are continuously rereleased. Most Yeezys will attract numerous fans for countless reasons. Adidas may think twice about giving up completely on West’s signature line.
